Collaborators
NAMED project has two groups of collaborators:
1) advisory board of community members
2) international expert panel
1) Advisory board of community members
To ensure that the research is conducted in collaboration and mutual understanding with the Kven/Norwegian Finnish and Forest Finnish communities, the research team involves an advisory board of community members throughout the process. The advisory board consists of Marikken Gundersrud (head of Young Forest Finns), Erik Vadholm (head of the Forest Finnish Union), Anneli Laukkarinen (subject specialist, Kven Union) and Anna-Kaisa Räisänen (subject specialist, Kven Institute). The research group will maintain close contact with the Norwegian Kven Organization, Ruijan kvääniliitto, and the Forest Finnish Union, Skogfinneforeningen.
2) Expert panel
The research team also collaborates with an international expert panel consisting of an expert on national minority languages, Professor Durk Gorter (University of Basque Country, Spain), an expert on culturally responsive pedagogies, Professor Kara Viesca (University of Nebraska, USA), an expert on revitalisation/reclamation of Kven/Norwegian Finnish language Professor Pia Lane (University of Oslo) and an expert on Kven/Norwegian Finnish language education Professor Hilde Sollid (UiT).
The expert panel and advisory board will participate in the opening and midway seminars, as well as the final conference.
