Welcome to the fifth meeting of the UiT Environmental Humanities Research Group's Deleuze and Guattari reading group! We will meet to discuss the fifth chapter of A Thousand Plateaus, titled "587 B.C.-A.D. 70: On Several Regimes of Signs." A pdf of the text is here. No prior experience with the text is necessary - the chapters are stand-alone and can be read in any order. This reading group is open to all. If you wish to participate, please email Kate Maxwell at Kate.Maxwell@uit.no in advance if you can, or just show up on the day, and think of a passage that you would like the group to discuss. It's also fine if you don't have time to read the whole chapter - it's a long one, and we are a bit late in organising. The important thing is to get going and get discussing.
The meeting is in-person only, and will take place in Utsikten, TEO1, 5th floor: TEO H1 1.545.
Future meeting dates (these can be changed if necessary):
6. October 12.00-13.00 (chapter 6)
10. November 12.00-13.00 (chapter 7)
4. December 14.00-15.00 (chapter 8, which is a nice short one for the end of the semester!)
