May 12th: The University Library in Narvik presents an in-person half-day seminar, poster session and help desk to help you get your research data properly managed and to get familiar with UiT data and publishing policies.

Schedule:

10:00–11:00 two seminars in room E2700 in the Univeristy Library

• 10:00–10:30: What does research data management look like in 2026?

Brief overview on data management plans, metadata, archiving, and data storage

• 10:30–11:00: “As open as possible, as closed as necessary”: what does this mean in practice?

Learn more about the FAIR data principles and sensitive data

11:00–11:30: Join us for free lunch and poster session (registration required). Come and meet your subject librarian and learn more about the Open Science, Publishing, and Data Services provided by UB, RSE and ITA at UiT. There will be lighting poster talks on UiT’s data archive DataverseNO, research data support at UiT, and the UiT publishing fund.

11:30–13:00: Do you need some additional one-on-one help? Join us for an open working session (optional). Bring your data problems and get tailored assistance from the UB data team. 

Flexible program: Come for the whole day, or just the sessions you want. Make sure you get some coffee and lunch!
