Om utstillinga "God matlyst og ingen gjeld!"

Kunstner Ane Huru Thorseng har snakket med eldre folk i bygder rundt Varangerfjorden. Ut fra disse samtalene har hun samlet kvenske/norskfinske ord og uttrykk, og satt dem sammen med fotografiene sine. 

Resultatet kan du se i utstillinga «Hyvä ruokalysti ja ei ole velkaa/god matlyst og ingen gjeld» som vises ved Norges arktiske universtitetsmuseum til juni 2026.

TID Hver søndag i mars 2026 kl. 12-15. Museet er åpent kl. 11-16.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP | Frottage and Stencil Art Inspired by “Healthy appetite and no debt!”

Welcome to our creative workshop every Sunday in March, 12–3 PM, at the Arctic University Museum of Norway.

Find inspiration in the beautiful Kven rose motif and the exhibition “Healthy appetite and no debt!”, and create a small artwork to take home with you.

The workshop is self-guided
No prior experience needed
All materials are provided
Suitable for all ages. Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult
Free to participate with a valid museum admission ticket

About the exhibition “Healthy appetite and no debt!”

Artist Ane Huru Thorseng has spoken with elderly residents in villages around the Varangerfjorden. Based on these conversations, she has collected Kven/Norwegian-Finnish words and expressions and combined them with her own photographs.

The result can be experienced in the exhibition “Hyvä ruokalysti ja ei ole velkaa / Healthy appetite and no debt”, on view atthe Arctic University Museum of Norway until June 2026.

TIME Every Sunday in March 2026, 12–3 PM. The museum is open 11 AM–4 PM.
