Klimaendringer påvirker allerede alle regioner over hele verden, med menneskelig påvirkning som bidrar til mange observerte endringer i regional temperatur og nedbør, samt klimatiske ekstremhendelser som hetebølger, tørke, stormer og flom. Klimaets påvirkning på menneskers helse er mangfoldig og vil øke med ytterligere global oppvarming.
Denne forelesningsserien vil gi kunnskap om ulike aspekter av klima og klimatiske endringer som påvirker ulike sider av menneskers helse, som yrkeshelse, reproduktiv helse, kardiovaskulære, inflammatoriske og infeksjonssykdommer, eller påvirkninger på premature barn. Forelesningene vil også gi innsikt i urban klimamodellering, statistisk modellering med helsedata, samt utfordringer og muligheter for tilpasning og langsiktig planlegging for å møte fremtidige energibehov og helsekrav.
Den tredje utgaven av denne tverrfaglige forelesningsserien, tilbudt av Prof. Dr. Sillmann, vil finne sted hver mandag fra kl. 16:15 til 17:45 online, med oppstart 13. oktober 2025.
Lenker til de virtuelle sesjonene vil bli sendt til registrerte deltakere fra EUGLOH-nettverket før forelesningene.
Innhold og metodikk:
Læringsutbytte: Studentene får en oversikt og forståelse av hvordan klima og klimatiske endringer kan påvirke ulike aspekter av menneskers helse. Det gis innsikt i ulike metoder som brukes innen klimavitenskap og medisinsk vitenskap for å analysere ulike typer data for å studere klimaets påvirkning på menneskers helse.

Climate change is already affecting all regions across the globe with human influence contributing to many observed changes in regional temperature and precipitation as well as climate extremes, such as heatwaves, droughts, storms and floods. The impacts of climate on human health are manifold and will increase with further global warming.
This lecture series will provide knowledge about different aspects of climate and climatic changes affecting various aspects of human health, such as occupational health, reproductive health, cardiovascular, inflammatory and infectious diseases, or impacts on preterm children. Lectures will also give insights in urban climate modeling, statistical modeling with health data and challenges and opportunities for adaptation and long-term planning in meeting future energy and health care demands.
The third iteration of this interdisciplinary lecture series offered by Prof. Dr. Sillmann will take place every Monday from 4.15 - 5.45pm online, starting on October 13, 2025.

Content and Methodology
Learning Outcomes: The students got an overview und understanding of how climate and climatic change can impact different aspects of human health. Insights are gained on various methods applied in climate science and medical science to analyze different types of data to study climate impacts on human health.
