VIN&VITEN | Living in or with nature? How the Arctic shapes people - and people shape the Arctic

For centuries, nature has shaped cultures, livelihoods, and worldviews in Greenland and across the Arctic – yet human footprints also leave lasting marks on fragile environments. How do different ways of knowing help us live with nature today? And what can Arctic experiences teach us about a shared and uncertain future?

At this evening event, environmental anthropologist Ann Eileen Lennert and UiT students recently returned from an Arctic voyage with Statsraad Lehmkuhl will share insights and experiences. The audience will also have the chance to ask questions and join the discussion.

The program runs from 19:00–20:30, following the 18:00 opening of the outdoor exhibition Miracles of Nature at the museum.

This event is part of Forskningsdagene 2025 and the "Wednesday at the Museum" series, featuring extended evening hours and monthly events.
