Screening of "Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests" + discussion about Kelp Restoration

Join us for a screening of Ismaele Tortella's latest work: "Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests", a short documentary that dives beneath the surface of Northern Norway’s ocean to uncover the silent collapse of Arctic kelp forests—and the people working to restore them.
Ismaele Tortella is a director, underwater cameraman, drone pilot specialized in wildlife documentaries and based in Tromsø, Northern Norway.
Wednesday, October 22, the Arctic University Museum of Norway will host a special screening of Tortellas latest work: "Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests", a short documentary that dives beneath the surface of Northern Norway’s ocean to uncover the silent collapse of Arctic kelp forests—and the people working to restore them.

Following the film, we’ll be joined by Rissa Citizen Science, a local organization actively involved in kelp restoration along the Norwegian coast. They’ll share insights into their hands-on efforts, how citizen science plays a key role in environmental recovery, and what you can do to help turn the tide.
