In this talk, I share my personal journey of growing up as an Iranian-born teenager in Norway — navigating questions of identity, belonging, and the invisible weight of not feeling safe to fully be myself.

It was through discovering Hip Hop culture that I found a sense of community and acceptance. The values at its core — unity, respect, and self-expression — offered me a space where I could begin to embrace who I am, rather than hide it. With honesty and reflection, I’ll speak about how safety isn’t just about the absence of threat — it’s about the presence of connection.

Through storytelling, images, and moments from my journey as an international artist, I hope to invite students into a conversation about self-worth, cultural identity, and how creativity and community can be powerful tools for feeling seen and supported.

Welcome!
