Dec 2025 – Ending the year on a high note

What a great way to end the year! 🎄✨ Christopher and Øyvind gave a seminar in St Andrews 🇬🇧 and had a series of fantastic meetings with colleagues, sparking several new ideas for future collaborations. Thank you to Clarissa M. Czekster for hosting us and organising our stay!

But that was not everything! Christopher was awarded 10 MNOK from the Research Council of Norway through the FRIPRO Early Career Investigator programme for the project FUTURE-AMR, marrying molecular mechanisms of resistance development with machine learning. 🙌

Finally, our PhD student Daniel shared his latest work on bioRxiv, describing how the β-lactamase OXA-48 evolves new functional sub-states and how conformational dynamics shape evolutionary trajectories. 🧬📄

What a great way to end 2025! We want to thank everyone who supported us! Happy New Year! 🎆

Nov 2025 - Microbiology Society Meeting in Liverpool
