Workshop on Next-Generation Technologies for Water Safety and River Restoration
A workshop "Next-Generation Technologies for Water Safety and River Restoration", held on 31 October 2025 at Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), Varanasi under the BRIDGE Project.
The workshop featured presentations from Prof. Rajnish Kaur Calay , Prof. Sanket Goel, Dr. Fasil Ejigu Eregno, Dr. Ram Avatar, Mr. Santosh Pandey and Elina Domscheit, Jirata Shiferaw, Richard Mvula on various topics like remote sensing and machine learning for river monitoring, miniaturised chemiluminescence sensing, photocatalytic fuel cells, source-separated wastewater systems, and riverbank erosion assessment.
The event ran alongside RHAR 2025 (https://lnkd.in/dWgV6UXm) and brought together international partners from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, Hokkaido University, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus and Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi working on river health, water-quality monitoring, and emerging treatment technologies.
