In advocating for a vibrant Arctic Environmental Humanities, the café will explore how we research, story and experience place and why Arctic place matters for the Environmental Humanities. The café will be an opportunity to explore method, including the significance of storying, the work of description and how attention to place can enfold different knowledge traditions. All welcome!

The focus on method and place intersects with the ongoing development of our intervention piece on Arctic Environmental Humanities. We’ll spend a bit of time at the beginning outlining where we’re at and we’ll be looking for volunteers to contribute to some of the short essays.

The world café is organised by the Environmental Humanities research group at UiT, UAarctic thematic network for Environmental Humanities and UiT's Center for Arctic Humanities.
