GUIDED TOUR | Sami culture – past and present

Learn about an indigenous people’s culture and way of life, shaped through a harsh northern climate over the span of thousands of years. Follow the history of the Sami people from pre-Christian times, throughout the changes and growth of society, to the continuous strive for their own culture and identity.

OMVISNING | Et blikk mot samisk kultur - fortid og nåtid

Museet har to store utstillinger om samisk kultur, og i denne omvisninga får du høre både om tradisjonell samisk kultur og det samiske samfunnet i dag, presentert av våre beste omvisere. Omvisninga holdes hver torsdag kl. 14.00 høsten 2025 på Norges arktiske universitetsmuseum.

Bli kjent med et urfolks kultur og levevis, formet i tett samspill med et nordlig klima over tusenvis av år. Følg samenes historie fra førkristen tid, gjennom endring og utvikling, til den stadige kampen om retten til egen kultur, språk og identitet.

Omvisninga holdes på engelsk. Ta gjerne kontakt med oss dersom du ønsker et annet tidspunkt eller ønsker norsk omvisning.
