    Research interests

    Pågåande forsking:
    Eg forskar på klimatilpassing i Himalaya, som del av NFR-prosjektet Himalayan Connections: Melting Glaciers, Sacred Landscapes and Mobile Technologies in a Changing Climate (HimalConnect). Prosjektet undersøker kunnskap om miljøforvaltning og handlingsstrategiar i møte med naturkatastrofar og klimaendringar i buddhistiske samfunn i Himalaya.

    Limi i Nepal og Punakha i Bhutan har dei siste åra blitt utsatt for klimarelaterte katastrofar som flaum frå smeltande isbrear (eng. GLOF) og jordskred, samtidig som samfunna også får ny infrastruktur, telefonforbindelse og nye former for styresett. Prosjektgruppa skal produsere samanliknande analyser av tilpassing til klimaendringar i Himalaya, samt bidra til å utvikle metodologi for korleis kunnskap om lokal miljøforvaltning kan oppskalerast og nyttiggjerast av beslutningstakarar på regionalt, nasjonalt og internasjonalt nivå.
