Print, copy and scan

Print, copy and scan English flag

You can print, copy and scan at several of our libraries, provided that you’ve set up your IT user account (Feide) at UiT. You can use your access card / employee card (ID card) for printing, copying or scanning, after you have activated your card by linking it to your UiT account.

You can also log in manually to our printers with your UiT username and password (Feide).

At some of our libraries you can find guest PCs where you do not need to have a personal user account. Ask our library staff at the service desk for more information.

The IT department at UiT is responsible for the printers in our libraries. Errors and defects need to be reported here.

Copying

To copy at our printers, you need to log in with your access / employee card or by typing in your UiT username and password manually.  This requires you to have an IT user account at UiT. Your access card / employee card can be used to log in to the printer, after you have linked it to your account.

The Kopinor licence agreement covers students’ and employees’ right to copying for internal use within the organisation. Some restrictions apply, and you may copy only up to 15% of the total pages in a book, but you can still copy a whole novella or a full chapter or similar section. Books that are no longer available to buy or acquire directly from the publisher within a reasonable period of time may be copied up to 30%.

Please check Kopinor's website for information about what you are permitted to do under the Kopinor agreement.

Scanning

Simply use your UiT access card / employee card (ID card) or log on manually with your IT user account to access the scanning function at our printers. The service is available when you’ve activated your IT user account at UiT. For easy access, link the account to your card so that you can log in by presenting the card to the printer's card reader.
